"First of all Annie was a very lovely host who was very proud, knowledgable and protective of her lovely house. She explained everything in detail regarding the general working of all of the equipement and all of the things we are allowed to do and those which we aren't allowed to do. This house has a lot of interesting history and has been in Annie's family ownership for hundreds of years, which explains the catiousness and pride she has for the place. You could almost say that this place is like living in a museum, which for me is a massive bonus and it certainly adds to the overall charm of the place. The place is very quiet, very clean and tidy with more than enough amenities for your stay, there is a secure courtyard for parking which is secured with metal gates. The village is very quiet and has some lovely surrounding countryside to explore. I would highly recommend here if you want a quirky place which has character combined with a nice, quiet and rural environment."

"The house is a fair way away from any large towns, so driving is a must. There are some local villages with shops for food and drinks and im sure the takeaway will deliver?! As this place is very old and very much loved, there are things that we felt we couldnt touch or interact with in case we damaged anything, so some places we felt like we had to tread on egg shells, so the house probably isnt good for small children and their inquisitive sticky hands. But again this is understandable due to the family historical connection."

"A beautiful old farmhouse that has been added to and modernized at various stages. Annie was very helpful, welcomed us and provided a tour and explanation of the house. She also provided a short history of the house. Beds were comfy and warm."

"Lovely historic building with beautiful family stories to share alongside. Host was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of leaflets of local museums for us to browse. Great area if wanting to explore local WW1 history. Felt very safe, cars locked behind a gate. Lovely garden, our toddler loved watching the chickens. Small play area approx 5 minute walk from property. Thank you for a lovely stay!xx"
